Beach Education: The importance and impact of "Beach Education" has been recognized from the very beginning but the infrastructure required to launch it has not been available during the first few years of operations. Now that PALS is financially stable, widely recognized and respected, the time to launch the Beach Education program is perfect. With the help, assistance and advice from SLSNR, PALS plans to launch the Beach Ed program by September 2007.
Meeting the growing requirements: Karachi is growing along its shores with billions of dollars being poured in by Dubai based real estate conglomerates like Emaar. With these developments the PALS capabilities will need to expand accordingly and within the next 3-5 years, we see the PALS Lifeguards team double to 300 full time lifeguards in Karachi. With this expansion, will come the need for more IRB?s and related equipment.
Providing trained manpower: PALS wants to position itself to provide trained lifeguards from Pakistan across the Middle East (both to the municipalities and private companies). PALS has already been approached on several occasions from government and private enterprise in Dubai for lifeguards. This needs to be done on a more professional and aggressive manner.
